STG has emerged as the prevalent pile foundation contractor in the Interior and Western Alaska. STG’s experience includes installation of driven and drilled steel piles, thermopiles, helical anchors and piles, concrete foundations and rock anchors. STG has the specialized equipment necessary for installing foundations in extremely remote and logistically challenging locations.
STG specializes in the installation of utility-scale wind energy systems and offers project development, design, installation, integration, and commissioning services. As Alaska’s leading installer of utility scale wind, STG also provides grant development assistance for system owners/operators while supporting ‘concept to completion’ project management services.
STG has constructed over twenty diesel power generation facilities (power plants) throughout Western Alaska for both Alaska Energy Authority and Alaska Village Electric Cooperative. These power plants, which range in size from 100 to 1,500 kilowatts, generally consist of modular units with either gravel pad or pile foundations.
STG offers tower construction services to telecommunications and service providers across the State of Alaska. The company maintains one of the largest crane fleets in Alaska, providing added value to clients through STG’s ability to execute all aspects of any size tower installation from foundation installation, to erection, to commissioning.
STG exists as one of the leading constructors of bulk fuel storage facilities, having completed dozens of projects across the State of Alaska for the Alaska Energy Authority, Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, school districts, and village-based organizations. Completed projects have involved the installation of varying sizes of horizontal and vertical tanks, containment dikes, decommissioning, supply/distribution pipelines, and integrated system controls.
At STG, we take pride in our ability to consistently deliver in some of the most remote and environmentally challenging conditions in North America. We know that the hard work and dedication of our staff and field crews are what enable us to “get the job done” in these locales. Heavy construction in remote Alaska is no simple task.
