STG is currently recruiting qualified field personnel to support on-going projects in locations across the state during the 2010 construction season.
Typical STG projects involve energy infrastructure construction activities and generally fall into the following categories:
• Village Power Systems (bulk fuel storage facilities and modular power plants)
• Utility Scale Renewable Energy Systems (wind power)
• Tower Construction (foundation and installation)
• Pile Foundations (driven, direct set, freeze back, and helical solutions)
• Civil Construction
STG field personnel, supported by on-site project foremen and Anchorage-based staff, generally work 4-6 week rotations during the peak of the construction season. They regularly work on multiple projects throughout the season as needed and depending on individual skill sets. Specifically, STG employs field personnel as:
• Heavy Equipment Operators and Mechanics
• Certified Crane Operators
• Certified Welders
• Pipe fitters
• Drillers/Blasters
• Pile Bucks
• Carpenters
• Electricians
Individuals with 5+ years of experience regarding any of the areas above would be considered attractive candidates for STG positions. Those with prior experience working in rural Alaska camp settings are also encouraged to contact STG regarding employment opportunities.
